Your goal
Find the hidden macaws. Put a macaw on every tile where one is hiding, and a โ on the tiles where no bird can be. When an area is right, it opens up into a real wildlife photo. Finish every area and you've uncovered the whole picture.
You never have to guess. Every puzzle can be worked out from the numbers.
2
The one rule
A number tells you how many macaws are in the 3ร3 square around it.
That square is the number's tile plus the eight tiles touching it. The number's own tile counts too, if a macaw is on it.

Then look at the numbers next to the ones you've solved. Each one you work out helps with the next. In the corners, a 4 means a macaw on all four tiles, and on an edge, a 6 does.

Mind the outlines
The board is split into areas by thin gold lines. A number only counts the tiles inside its own area.

Placing macaws and crosses
Phone or tablet
- Tap a tile to place a macaw.
- Tap again to take it off.
- Double-tap a tile to mark it โ (no bird).
- Or flip the Tap: ๐ฆ โ switch, and a single tap places a โ.
- Press and hold a number to fill in what it forces.
- Drag with one finger to move around, pinch to zoom.
Computer
- Click to place a macaw, click again to take it off.
- Right-click marks a tile โ.
- Press and hold a number, or press Enter on the keyboard cursor, to fill in what it forces.
- Mouse wheel zooms. Drag, or hold Space and drag, to move around.
Press and hold only fills in what the number itself forces. If nothing is forced yet, the number gives a faint pulse to say "not yet". The โ marks are your notes, showing which tiles you've ruled out.

Feeling stuck?
- A wobbling tile with a dashed orange outline isn't right. Change it and the wobble stops. There's no red and no telling-off. You can turn this off in Settings (Show mistakes).
- A green ring on a number means everything in its square is right. Numbers fade once they're complete.
- Press Hint. It's free, as many times as you like. It points to a tile you can work out right now.
- Undo takes back your last move, so trying an idea costs nothing.
- Next area jumps to an unfinished area, and Fit shows the whole board.
- The clock is only for fun. You can hide it in Settings.
